Purpose:
This poster will high light the growth of a professional practice model emphasizing development, application, evaluation, adaption and modifications. It will show correlation between the components of a professional practice model, management and governance.

Significance:
A professional practice model is a schematic that describes how nurses practice, collaborate, communicate and develop professionally. Once the correlations have happened, the model is put into practice and action, with all levels of nursing having input and describing what the Model means.

Strategy and Implementation:
In the evaluation category, through surveys and feedback from nurses, extension committees have been added and By-Laws changed to implement how additional extension committees can become part of the actual operation of the Professional Practice Model (PPM). In the adaptation of a Model, examples are given of how a particular patient care plan based on the domain has been utilized to develop individualized patient plans of care.

Evaluation:
Modification is looking at the evidence and improvements in nursing practice and patient care through innovations and research to elevate the practice and performance of nursing. A review is done to look at the mission, vision and values of the PPM and if they are effective and inculturated.

Implications for Practice:
Outcomes of the PPM are measured through the NDNQI nurse satisfaction survey -Nursing Participation in Hospital Affairs and the PES score.
